Li Hing Mui Syrup

  • 2 Teaspoon of Li Hing Mui Powder
  • 2 Cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Cup of Water

Stir the li hing mui powder into the sugar in a bowl. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Add the li hing mui-sugar mixture and stir until dissolved, about 1 minute (the liquid should become clear such that you can see the bottom of the pot). Remove from the heat and let cool. store in a lidded bottle or sealable container in the refrigerator for several weeks.
